Training of knee flexion and extension in a sitting position
The video shows an example of positioning a patient while exercising of the knee joint in a sitting position. The axis of rotation should be at the level of the axis of rotation in the joint.
We attach the shank and foot with straps. In the case of CPM training for greater patient comfort, the pillow/roller under the foot can be positioned behind the ankle.
Positioning electrodes for T&H and T&R training (see electrode placement):
- for extension: quadriceps
- for flexion: biceps femoris or semitendinosus
