Functional electrostimulation through a sequence of muscle tensions enables the performance of complex movements. To prepare the exercise, place the indicated electrodes on the appropriate muscles, according to the instructions in the illustration.

The exercise aims to move the hand into the mouth direction. Before the treatment the EMG calibration is needed. The whole sequence of movement starts when wrist extensors are above the threshold line followed by an elbow flexion, shoulder abduction and forearm internal rotation.
