FES - Grasp and release
Functional electrostimulation through a sequence of muscle tensions enables the performance of complex movements. To prepare the exercise, place the indicated electrodes on the appropriate muscles, according to the instructions in the illustration.
The aim of the exercise is to grasp something and then to release it. Before the treatment, the EMG calibration is needed. The whole sequence of movement starts when wrist extensors are above the threshold line followed by a fingers and thumb flexion. To make this task more functional use the item, like a plastic bottle or a ball.
