Training of the foot dorsal and plantar flexion
The video shows an example of positioning a patient during ankle joint exercise.
In the software, click “Stop extension” and adjust the extension to the patient’s limb. The axis of rotation of the tip should coincide with the axis in the hock.
We attach the foot to the extension with special straps. Hold the extension and click “OK” on the extension stop window. We perform the unweighting procedure and set the range of motion, see.
Positioning electrodes for T&H and T&R training (see electrode placement):
- for dorsal flexion: tibialis anterior
- for plantar flexion: gastrocnemius
Exercise in a sitting position, using the Mezos SIT chair. Thanks to the adjustment options of the chair, especially the backward tilt, positioning the patient for ankle exercises is much easier.
